i had a thiught today. instead of clearancing out items down to a penny as most stores do or down to a dollar that the stores or big corporations could ser in okace a system that if an item did not sell at 25% of ots marketes value then the item would automatically be given to a charity that benefitted the homeless. say items could only be marked down to 75% off in store and if the item still didnnot sell instead of giving it to consumers for next to nothing it would have to be given to a charity. think of times you find items for 80 or 90 percent off of the targeted or advertised price... these items coukd no longer be sold in the free market as they dilute the exchange initially be overpricing, take up much needed space. and then create excessive waste of material. would be a way to get marketers and economist to be more forthcorming about a products actual value upfront essentially keeping false advertising or misleading deals st bay too. and surely new products are preffered over used products especially clothing and household daily living items. i find shoes at walmart for a dollar all the time every season dollar shoes... why am i buying yet ankther pair of shoes and the corporation milking the profit down to the last drop when instead of selling them so cheaply they coukd be donated and tax deductable at 25 percent of the intial asking price. its a win win all around.
