Here in North California, about to make our 3rd run giving clothes directly to homeless in town. We're working on building an organization to get volunteers, potential donations (have been donated clothes, but financial could work too) and spread the word.
We want to be an information resources for those in need, connecting them with the things people want to give away but often don't take the time or effort. We plan to make it much more fast an efficient. Some people call this freecycling but the term hasn't taken off as much as it should. We just call it sharing society or sharing community; basically bring back the barter system.
