The other day, I accidentally burnt myself, TWICE! The first burn I pretty much left alone apart from cleaning the wound. The second burn was twice the size, so I used my homemade after-sun spray (just a bit left from summertime) as a burn cream.
The results are crazy! As much as I did NOT want to share these photos (it's winter, and the burns are on my legs...) I think it is important to see the difference firsthand.
I used a few drops each of lavender and peppermint essential oils and filled the rest of the bottle up with fractionated coconut oil.
Lavender is often called the "Swiss Army Knife" of essential oils (but particularly burns) and peppermint is used as a remedy for many things pain-related. These two oils are the first I would recommend to any oily beginner since they are so versatile.
