There is nothing more thrilling than the Australian outback and homeschooled Nathan "Whippy" Griggs at Mataranka in the Northern Territory..... It's whipcracking comedy at its finest for sure.
The Mataranka homestead is a mere 420km from Darwin City. When we talk distances in Australia, that is just down the road. A few hours drive on the beautiful National Highway 1 until you get to Mataranka, which is just south of Katherine.
Once in Mataranka be sure to visit the sandy-bottomed thermal pools before heading to the Mataranka Homestead. There you will be entertained with a fantastic band playing your favourite songs and then to top it off..... Whippy's almighty whipcracking performance.
Don't be deceived in thinking it's just whip cracking, loud noise, target practice, or..... "I've seen whip cracking before " attitude.
Nathan Griggs is a World Champion whip cracker and has secured his place in the Guinness World Records. Not just once..... but as a whopping five-time Guinness World Record Holder.
Seriously.... The Australian Outback is an amazing part of the world and deserves a visit at least once in your lifetime. Amazing sunsets, beautiful gorges, fantastic people and an amazing whip cracker who deserves a fair go.
