My son's girlfriend once told me: "Bloom where you're planted". With that wise counsel, I present, Trailer Park Homestead. While I await my "forever" home, I'm doing what I love...telling people about the wonderful hope I have for the future as outlined in God's inspired word the Bible & about the God who I have come to know...the Creator of heaven & earth.
My "project" (as I always have to have projects), is making my space provide as much food as a small, shaded, rented space can provide so that I can eat "good food" grown in a wholesome way. Through trial & error, I'm discovering what plants/vegetables can grow here & what animals I can raise with minimal grief from management.
I currently raise New Zealand rabbits, Welsh Harlequin ducks & Narragansett/Royal Palm X turkeys. 2017 may see my 1st harvest of peaches, small amount of apples & almonds & 2nd harvest of gapes. My raspberries have been producing for a few years now. And, eggs, eggs, eggs. How many eggs can a chick chick eat if a chick chick could eat eggs?
