On Sunday morning I got up at 5AM and got a load in the dishwasher then worked on editing photos until 6AM. I started moving stuff in the living room because my brother was going to help me do the outside windows and the roundtop was first.
I moved all the plants to the dining room table then dismantled the shelves and lights.
The window after that was the awning in the kitchen and that just took a couple minutes.
But when I went to pull up shades at 7AM, I discovered a robin on a nest in the azalea. She had 3 eggs. The photos were taken at a sharp angle through the dirty window, so that’s as good as it got.
I got the screens from the bedroom and pantry as they are never taken out and vacuumed them really well. Next I took out all the rest of the screens I’d put in during April and got all the grills off the windows.
I had started washing the grills when my brother came down, so we got started. Because the momma robin was next to one of the windows, I decided to not wash it this time around. So we only had 5 to do and finished in about an hour.
I sat down for a while then got up and started putting things back together. Once all the plants and lights were back, I had to water all the seedlings. That finished me off.
Later in the afternoon, my son and his friend finished unloading the truck of kindling and got the bagged kindling down in the freezer room. There weren’t as many bags as I thought there would be.
I spent the evening watching ‘My Favorite Martian’ until bedtime at 8PM.
On Monday my window guy is supposed to come for 9AM. I plan to get as many of f the office windows done as I can, and maybe a few of the living room too. That will definitely finish me off. It’s to be a beautiful day, in the 70’s, but I will be inside.
