On Tuesday morning I was up just before 6AM and got my post started. I got laundry folded with help and then a shower and was ready at 7:30AM to go out and get the car ready to take to the inspection station at 7:45AM. My brother followed me down and we found a parking place no problem! I should bring it in after a big storm every year!
He brought me back home and I arranged with the neighbor to go back down to pick it up when they were done. I was working on my post when they called just before 9AM that the car was done so we headed out to get it.
My helper friend arrived around 11:15AM as he had picked me up a bag of bird seed. I was going to stop feeding after seeing the bear tracks, but with this heavy snow and cold, I’ll do one more bag, probably pushing my luck…
He did some errands, watered the house plants, and did some chores.
I got some photos of after the storm and went in and finished my post. Then I got set up to prep the seed starting notes. I had to make sure each sheet I needed was in the file, and that each one had enough room for writing down what seeds I used, and the notes about the growth and planting.
I had 3 new ones to make, researching the information about when to start, how to start, temp and sun requirements, etc.
I got out varieties I’d be growing this year and put away ones I wouldn’t be. I finished about 3PM and got the mess cleaned up.
After all the hard work of folding clothes, my supervisor took the afternoon off.
Just as I was finishing, the contractor arrived to snowblow the paths and check out what had to be done to put up the new plant starting supports on the 2 windows.
It didn’t take him long to get the job done.
The window looked so pretty with the snow edging it, but I didn’t manage to capture that well.
I spent some time looking for cactus and succulent mix for starting the Hen & Chicks and some African violet mix for my new plant. Maybe I won’t kill it if I use the right mix…
The rest of the day was spent watching The Good Life, starting stoves, pulling shades, making supper, etc. I was in bed just before 9PM.
On Wednesday I have exercise class, it’s supposed to snow again, I have PT at noon and an appointment in late afternoon. I hope I’m not too tired from the class and PT because I have a bunch of filing I need to get done.
I will be leaving early for class as Wednesday is the monthly coffee hour before class. I’m bringing hot cacao to drink. I have to sweep the walks before I go as it’s to snow until noontime and be pretty cold, around 20F.
So another busy day…
