For some reason, I’m not sleeping so well lately and have been getting up later. On Friday it was after 6:30AM and someone wasn’t pleased. Once he was fed and stoves going, I sat down and got my post up.
Then I went out to figure out what I needed for shelving equipment for Sunday. When we put the peat pots in the trays dry, we can only fit 18. But once they are wet and pliable, I can get 3 more in, for 21.
I had 5 trays of onions and I hoped I could eliminate 1 tray by squeezing in the extra pots in each one. But I was left with 6 pots. Sigh… I had to stop to go to exercise class and when I got back, I got the remaining trays of things out and ready.
My #3 helper arrived at 12:30PM and we set about squeezing more seedlings. We managed to get 2 empty trays. But we needed 3…
So I called the contractor and asked if he thought he could get at least 1 window finished on Saturday when he came and he said he thought so. I REALLY didn’t want to set up the whole office for 1 tray.
The snow is completely gone in some areas and still rather deep on the south side of things.
So because we didn’t have to haul seed starting stuff up from the cellar, we went into the bedroom to finish that project. She got the bureau and wall done, including the inside of the bureau.
I was in the kitchen washing knickknacks and dusting and polishing pictures. I hung those back up as I finished each one.
I finished in the kitchen and came in and washed the mirror and dusted and polished the entry door, then the outside of the closet doors.
Next we emptied out the hanging clothes and everything off from the top shelf. She got one side vacuumed and dusted and we put the shelf stuff back on the shelf. Then we moved the stuff on the floor over to the other side and she got that side done.
I condensed the contents of the cardboard boxes and got rid of one. Then we put everything back in.
We got the mess cleaned up, she vacuumed the carpet and I decided to quit as I was very tired. Later when I went back in to take photos I realized I hadn’t done the overhead light or the attic door. So I need to finish that part.
When she left at 4:15PM I sat down to watch ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ but had to stop halfway through to get fires going. When it finished I went in and got the photos edited for Saturday’s post. Next was pulling shades just after 7PM.
It was nearly bedtime when I finished everything so I got the stoves set and headed to bed around 8:30PM.
On Saturday women from the Senior center are taking me to the Mt Holyoke Bulb Show. When I get back I’d like to hope I finish the last 2 things in the bedroom. I also need to make sure we are ready for seed starting. The contractor arrives mid afternoon and we’ll be doing that window. It’s to be cold and cloudy all day so I’ll be tending stoves.
