On Monday morning I was up at 5:30AM and got my post up. I got the stoves going as it was to be cold all day. Then I tended the seedlings; raising lights, reorganizing, watering. I sat down for a while then got the laundry started.
My #2 intern arrived around 12:30PM and had dressed to be out in the cold, her choice. I had her cut down all the tall stuff in the New Herb garden.
When she came in, we decided to sit and repair wind chimes. The shell one that had been repaired earlier this year had its little bird drop out of the center. We got that back in and put back on all the shells that fell off in the process.
She had to go but I continued working on the 2 I’d gotten out of the New Herb garden. The snow had been deep when we repaired wind chimes earlier so these were left.
I got the laundry finished and that was about all for the day.
On Tuesday I hope to be able to get out and rake some in the backyard. I will very soon have to mow. I need to check the cold frame to see how well the plants survived the deep cold. I need to see if the mesclun has come up. And I also hope to get the doors and the glass washed today on 3 or 4 doors.
We will see…
