Long walks behind house shoveled
On Sunday morning I was up at 5:30AM and got started editing the 72 photos I had taken at the Orchid show. Then I got the shades up and finally got my post up. Next was a shower and I sat down for a while.
I was cleaning up the kitchen when Tom arrived. His plan was to finish the shoveling so it wouldn’t be so hard after the storm, and then take the blue bird houses to the cellar for repair.
He had done 2 of them back in the autumn and there were 4 left. He determined 1 was fine, so he brought the others downstairs. He was able to get 2 repaired before he had to go get his father’s snow blower running before the storm hit.
While he was doing that, my brother was running the truck up and down the driveway, cleaning up the snow in preparation for the storm.
And I was at the dining room table figuring out how much of what seeds I was going to start this year. I made it through that part by 1PM and had had enough.
It takes a long time because every year I forget something, so I was being extra careful, double checking things as I went. But I bet I will have forgotten something…
I did find about 5 things I either don’t have enough seed for or forgot to order, so I will have to order those things on Monday.
This is how far I got:
With the storm blowing all day Monday, I won’t have exercise class or PT, as the Senior center is closed.
Now I have a list of everything (I hope) I plan to start, I can finally start making up the charts for the 6 seed startings on Monday. I will have steps to clean snow off from but will leave the shoveling to my son. I still have laundry to fold and put away, and a kitchen to clean. And of course, stoves to tend all day.
