My first post!
Just thought to start this new, exciting journal, I would start off with something I love here on our farm, my chickens have become my sanity, they are so calming, often after a long day we crack a cold beer and sit and watch them peck around the yard.
The idea that something so small could create something so nutritious and yummy.
We put the money we earn from the eggs straight back into the farm. Is not a lot but it covers all their feed and bedding and helps with a few upgrades to their castle. The picture below is of a small coop we keep our birds in until we integrate them with the others.

This is the main coop, however when we are home the gate is open and they are free range!
I hope you follow along as a I journal about our adventures in creating quality, homegrown food and tackle projects around our farm. Input and feedback are greatly appreciated I know I daydream of traveling the world so I'm really enjoying reading lots of the travel journals.
