This late afternoon I went at the back of our house to see what my brother with the help of my eldest brother to setup a solar power system for our use in the house. As for now we only got 1 piece of solar panel for this setup complete with a one piece of battery. I really have no idea how much power it would give but with additional panels and battery it could run even a refrigerator provided we use an inverter for the purpose.
It seems that the inverter that my brother brought got overheated so we may have to buy one so that we could use a 220 volt appliance with it like my laptop or my father's radio. But my father was converting one of our electric fans into a 12 volt one so that it could be plugged-in to the system.
We do not have much appliance in this house, but due to the heat we have to use a small refrigerator for our foods so that it won't spoil. The use of electric fans are extensive because you will definitely drizzle with sweat without it. My laptop is always on too because I have to be online or I will go loco with all these problems going on with my body.
We also use a top-loading washing machine, we have to use one or washing clothes will very, very difficult. My parents also watch TV although not all the time in the afternoon and but night when they watch the news and if my nephew is in here he watch cartoons nonstop.
So other than those plus the occasional use of the microwave oven plus the LED lights we basically are just consuming less electricity and if we supplement our electrical use with solar power system we could obviously make a good amount savings. Now we will just add panels as we see fit and maybe in the future we would go off-grid when the system upgrades.
