Chicken fires? What is that all about? Today I posted this picture on Instagram showing my fire in the chicken run.
I shared this thought:
Who can be the first to post a link to an old Daddykirbs video that explains why I burn in the chicken run?
This was a fun way for me to spark (see what I did there?) a little interest in an older YouTube video. Here's the video explaining why I do the fires in the chicken run.
Later in the afternoon when it warmed up to about 80 degrees (ah I miss those days) I got to do a little beekeeping. My son helped me out by being my cameraman for this beekeeping episode on the Daddykirbs Farm.
I'm actually sitting right now editing that video and remembered "Oh no, I haven't done my steemit post for the day!". The edited video will be ready hopefully tomorrow. It's going to be a long one since I'm showing the first inspection of 2018 on all three hives.
Did all 3 hives make it through the winter? That's something you'll find out in a future steemit post and YouTube video :)
I will say this... it's nice working in a wide open apiary (bee yard)! Wow, I'm glad I made that move.
