Good day Steemit friends and Homesteader friends!
For some months now, i have been planning to make a big cage for our pet chickens. I started making it, little by little, just when i have my free time or done my errands on my Warehouse.
This is their old cage, now it's totally wrecked caused by termites.
Good thing is i dont have to buy woods for building the new cage, i kept some woods from the old house. I remove excess nails then cut it to the size of what i wanted for my chicken cage.
This is easy to built, all you need is some nails and a hammer.
I just formed the four posts here, make sure it is fixed well.
Then add some short woods on each side for support, so it doesn't wiggle. Put chicken screen and fixed the roofing.
Covered both sides with a tarpaulin, to keep the chicken dry even if its raining.
Its almost finish, i put a wood at the center, then place a cabinet door as the cage door now.
Its done! Look how big their house now! My chicken will surely like their new home!
Finally! My chicken looks enjoying their new nesting home! I have one rooster and three hen laying eggs everyday. Thats a free breakfast for us, either scramble egg or hard boiled eggs.
We wanted more chicken, so we will let them lay, hatch, and raise more. That is more eggs to harvest soon!
Thank you Steemit and Homesteader friends for visiting my new chicken cage! I hope you enjoyed and like it!
