Today I turned on the radio. The oldies are on Sunday mornings until noon! Although the music I listened to in public school is now considered oldies ;)
I digress.
On the news I heard that a dairy farmer is taking the government to task on the daylight savings time, because his cows are still trying to sleep when he tries to get them up for milking, because the truck comes an hour earlier!!
Apparently these cows are not cooperative with the government agenda of saving money on electricity.
Humans are good little soldiers, making the most out of the daylight.
We just did a little research. In Canada it started in 1908 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. It was adopted by most of Canada in 1915/1916. Pockets of Quebec, Ontario, most of Saskatchewan, and British Columbia do not observe DST.
We followed suit with the US
Only 40% of the globe uses DST.
Here...meh... we don't really care.
We still go with the moon and sun. It works for us ;)
