When I went out to do chores around 7AM this is what it looked like to the west.
And looking east.
I hadn’t gotten a shot of the Big garden in the storms, so I went to look at it. Around the kale, I saw a LOT of tracks.
And then even more all over the west side of the garden.
Tracks that came up to the south side of the garden then stopped.
Then they restarted on the outside of the fence and went down the side and all over the middle pasture.
The culprit, heralding summer disaster….
Then I remembered I wanted a shot of the Big garden…
The kissing ball had a snow cap almost bigger than it was.
Back in the house during the morning I managed to get a shower and a load of dishes done. I tried to start the laundry, but I couldn’t manage it. It turned out to be a bright sunny day so I didn’t have to tend stoves until dark.

My son finished up the shoveling around the house.
We haven’t emptied the first bay of the woodshed yet. I thought the wood looked cool in the sun and shadows. There’s been so few of those this winter.
Late afternoon I got packages delivered. The first was some tiny balls for the Christmas tree. I’d ordered 2 packages and got 3! That was a nice surprise.
The second was the mica lampshade. It looks cool in the daylight. I will have to turn it on in the dark also.
On Tuesday I hope to finish cleaning up the kitchen and get the laundry going. If I have any energy, I might get the box out of the attic and start taking down candles. My general helper won’t be here until the middle of next week. Still no word on what’s happening with my helper friend. Should call on Tuesday I guess…
