On Wednesday morning it was pretty cold and very windy. I was at the computer editing photos when something like a white piece of paper was blowing in the wind by a mound of dirt where the electric work had been done. But it didn’t blow away, just stayed by the mound of dirt.
All the sudden it got much longer and I realized it was a white weasel. I grabbed the camera, but it was far too fast for me. I saw this white streak go out into the wood area and then head for the swamp. (Mine was pure white.)
So all I got was a photo of the hole it came out of. We’ve had weasels here as long as we’ve been here. When my son was 4 or 5 years old, there was one living in the stump of a cut down tree by my son’s Tonka garage. He used to sit out there and watch it.
I went off to exercise class not feeling so good as I’d had a second bad night. But I made it through and came home and rested until noon when my general helper arrived.
We got all the seed orders figured out and while she did a project, I got them sent in and printed out.
The wallpaper in the bathroom has been peeling since last year. It’s only been up less than 3 years. So my helper and I found all the things she needed for gluing it back down.
It was particularly bad in this corner, as most of it had come off the wall. She was able to get it back, except for a bubble in the corner.
She also got a lot of the seams to lay back down. She didn’t finish but got about half done I think.
After she left, I got most of the mess from the seed orders cleaned up, did my chores, and died on the couch.
On Thursday I have to spend the whole day working on the solar stats to figure out how much I lost over the last year. I need to know for when they offer compensation.
Tom says he’s finally gotten the “new” computer up and running and will be bringing it by Thursday.
