This is a very old chipmunk hole under the clothesline by the woodshed. It’s been there for at least a decade, I think. Friday someone decided it was time for a house cleaning.
Saturday was a gloomy day with sleet and rain and a tiny amount of snow. I didn’t have a good day, spent most of it sleeping or reading.
When I took this photo Saturday morning, I hadn’t seen any birds. But on closer inspection there’s a tufted titmouse on the feeder and 3 purple finches on the rope. These feeders have been wildly popular since they were put up. I don’t think my birder neighbor is feeding the birds like they used to.
Sunday is to be the Luminaria and my surrogate grandchild is sick. I’m not sure yet if I am sick or just having some bad days. So whether I see the Luminaria tonight is up in the air.
On Sunday, I am hoping to get my kefir cheese finished, ornaments on the tree and the mess cleaned up, and a shower. But we will see….
