Magnolia buds
On Tuesday I wasn’t up until 7AM, after 9½ hours of sleep. I’ve been sleeping a lot the last few days. I guess the foot pain is taking it out of me. I got a post up and a shower and just rested until my helper friend arrived at 9:30AM. He was in better shape than I was, foot-wise, as he had bought new shoes. He said it helped a lot.
So I got my only pair of shoes and put them on, and it did help reduce the pain. In the house I’ve always worn slippers. He got the seedlings watered and we headed to the cellar to start the inventory.
We did the old cellar first. There was no cleaning done, just marking down what was there and where it was.

Then we did the small area off the old cellar that holds the gardens supplies.
We had time left so we started the first addition cellar. We made it around to the walkway between the spare room and the old root cellar.
That’s a real mess and I decided that on Thursday we would clean it out, put up another set of shelving we had found, and then do an inventory. We have 5 hours on Thursday to do this.
We sat down for lunch and I looked out the living room window and saw big buds on the magnolia. That wasn’t a welcome sight as the temps were to drop to 25F during the night for the next few nights. The blossoms would be brown from frost. Sigh…
I got a call that there was a cancellation for PT mid afternoon, so I took it. I’ve not been to exercise class or PT since the 28th of March and had spent the last 3 days on the couch or in my chair. So I went and got a good workout that didn’t include my foot.
On Wednesday I hope to go to exercise class, as I think my foot will be okay enough for most things. I’ve got a kitchen disaster to clean up at some point. It’s to be a sunny but cold and windy day.
