When I got up on Sunday morning I was having a much better day. I got started on the Christmas tree and got all the ornaments on first. Then I started with the smallest glass bulbs as this tree is much smaller than the live one had been. Then I put the big bulbs on and had run out of room.
So I had 3 garlands and about 50 medium bulbs that didn’t go on. I got those put away and cleaned up the mess.
I’d started hunting for a blue spruce artificial tree again and found this one. I didn’t have high expectations, given the source. It wasn’t due to arrive until the 23rd.
But I found it on my porch on Sunday afternoon. I bought it too tall in the hopes I can put it in my red iron stand (which is flat on the floor) and cut a lot off the bottom stem. I hope to bend the branches upwards to fill the gaps.
I started on it in the office which only has a 7’ ceiling. The stand it’s in makes it nearly a foot higher. I only fluffed one small section, working my way up. The branches don’t much look like spruce, not round like in the photo, but at least they are the blue-ish hue. I think this tree might suit, once it’s been properly fluffed out. That will be my busy work project for this week.
On Monday I’ve got laundry to do and keep chipping away at this tree.
