They had forecast 15F on Wednesday night but Thursday morning it was only 25F, and the addition was 55F. I managed to get it up to 60F by the time the sun came up.
Zack was here and because it was so cold out, I decided to not work outside on the pasture pen. We cleaned and organized the cellar so we could find supplies we needed.
We found a good deal more barnboard and Arissa my intern arrived and she took out nails. The curved ones are for the roundtop window.
It was another day of constant phone calls on various things. I think I answered it about 20 times before noon.
This long table had been covered in stuff and there was a mess of pink insulation back by the furniture. Things are all organized and grouped by room they go in or as supplies.
We were able to get the treadmill out and over in the old cellar. I expect things will slow down sometime soon and I might be able to start using it.
Lastly the 3 of us went up and put the plastic back over the hay. I was surprised to see that the 6 mil plastic had started to break down already. I would have thought it would have easily survived the winter. Now I wonder…
My husband has settled into the nursing home. He seemed to have a pretty good day. My neighbor took Arissa and I mid afternoon to do the first window visit. He’s a bit thinner, but didn’t look as bad as I anticipated, especially as he was wearing his own clothes again.
Friday my helper friend is here and I’m hoping to get a bunch of small things finished like the greenery, arranging more cabinets, and finishing paying bills.
