It all started with me trying to find the 2020 New Herb garden plan. I’d looked through all the numerous piles of garden paperwork 3X to no avail. So I cleaned off the counters in the kitchen and started sorting said piles.
The various papers all had homes in one of the above folders. They had not seen the inside of those folders in a long time, if ever. I had them semi-sorted by the time my intern got here. It was another rainy day and we were both low energy, so this was a good easy job.
I eventually found the 2020 plan I had been looking for and sat down to finish what I’d been doing on the 2021 New Herb garden plan. That had been to see what had been grown where in 2020 and figure out what I wanted to grow this year. There are 2 large plant sales this weekend and my intern and I plan to go to them early on the rainy Saturday morning. I needed to know what I would be looking for.
We got everything sorted, put into order, labeled, and back into the proper folders. Even with the pot of English Breakfast tea I had made us, we didn’t have energy at the end to thin seedlings and make notes on their progress. I will have to do that on Friday if it rains.
On Thursday, it’s to be the only nice day this week. I plan to clear more of the Big garden and I’ve figured out what to do with some of the plants. They will go into the wildflower area. I have a new helper coming for the morning, so we will see what we get done.
