On Monday morning when he drove by, there was a hen in the nestboxes. She was twisting and turning all around in there.
There were several curious onlookers. Apparently there had been 2 in the boxes, one at either end. I got an egg out of the other end, but it had a broken end. Later we got an egg out of this end too. I already have my first order for pullet eggs. There are several customers who like the tiny eggs.
The next 6 birds left on Monday night. No more scheduled to leave until the 27th and the 29th. I’ve asked these people to let me know if they can get them any earlier. It will make a lot less work moving the coop and pen.
Tuesday my helper friend and I process red peppers for dehydrating.
