On Saturday morning I got out there around 10:30AM to start the mowing. Once I had the push mower trim done, I used the rider and started on the area around the pasture garden. It wasn’t high and didn’t have many leaves but it was lush. I could only go around 2 times before I had to unplug the grasscatcher chute.
The wood guy never showed up so he must be coming on Sunday.
The oak leaves had only started to fall so they weren’t deep in the backyard. I got the backyard finished then did the yard on the road side. Once that was done I went up and mowed the area around the barn. Altogether it took me 4 hours. But this is just the first round of many with these leaves…
The Anne raspberry is still ripening fruit and everyone grabs snacks off it when they go by.
This is the next big job, getting the pea fences out of the Big garden, cleaned up and put away. We start that on Tuesday when, hopefully, I will have my general helper and my helper friend.
On Sunday I hope I will be dealing with wood. I have never finished the bills/budget from last month…sigh… And I have a sink full of dishes I will have to clean out.
