The chicken Taj Mahal builder and my intern went out deepsea fishing on Thursday. I’ve not heard the fishing report, but I bet my husband did.
My helper #1 was here and I set her to making beef stew. I went out and started the raking. The weather has been gorgeous here and promises to hold until Tuesday.
I’d reached the end of the shed and the 7 Sisters rose was badly overgrown and in the way. So it got a severe haircut. Now you and see the robin’s nest in the upper left corner of the trellis.
I get a bit more raking done, but the phone rang about every 20 minutes or so. I never got the leaves picked up, and many blew back over the raked area.
Two friends came out and started working on clearing the New Herb garden. One of them put up the last windowshade in the kitchen for me.
I went in to lie down and the next thing I knew it was 3PM, the stew had started to burn down, and my neighbor had arrived with more posts for prepping the little trees. My friends had left and I hadn’t been awake to thank them.
My husband had a better day and went for the radiation. When I talked to him at 7PM the vomiting hadn’t started. They restarted the meds at a far lower dose and his breathing remained normal. He sounded the best I’ve heard him in many days, all the times I talked to him on Thursday.
Friday my helper friend is here and he will be doing odd jobs preparing for the crew coming on Saturday. I hope to get more raking in. I will also be prepping for Saturday.
