On Saturday morning it was pretty cold, just 8F outside. I kept the wood stove going all day, but the masonry heater had gotten up to 150F during the night so it did well enough in the addition.
There was a heavy frost on everything when I pulled up the shades at 7AM.
The sun coming in the office door warmed someone’s tummy.
I spent all day making matching forms and trying to fill them out. I got the best part of 3 of them done. There’s still a VERY long ways to go. That binder is 2” thick…
Afternoon sun on holly swag in kitchen
Another Christmas movie arrived in the mail, so I watched that before bed while stoking both stoves. It’s to be another very cold night.
On Sunday my brother and I will jump the car and let it run to charge the battery. Then we will see what happens in the next few days. He also plans to dig all the parsnips and use some for parsnip chowder for supper. I’m not sure we can dig, as it’s been so cold. The ground may be too frozen… And there’s the binder to work on in between. My handwriting is bad enough that I’m attempting to type everything I can so it can be read.
