Wildflower area in first snow
On Saturday morning I was up very early at 3:45AM, just couldn’t stay in bed any longer. I got my post up then spent a couple hours researching a new photo printer.
It’s going to be hard to find a good one. Most had reviews where the 1 star and 2 stars totaled 18% - 23%. That doesn’t look promising. It also looks like I will have to get a multi-function one, which I really don’t need.
When I pulled the shades up at 7AM this is what I saw. I had to go outside and discovered the steps were covered in hardened snow. So I cleared them off and sanded. The front stone steps didn’t need it.
I got the kitchen cleaned up and then started the bills/budget. I did that until noon. After lunch I rested for a while and at 1:30PM I decided to try to get the decorating done.
I got all the boxes emptied, repacked and ready to go upstairs. Finally I have my living room back. And yes, that little office Christmas tree is tied off on 3 sides against a marauding cat…
My oldest brother had brought holly when he came the week before Thanksgiving. I had kept it in the cold pantry and finally got around to making swags with it.
By the time I finished them and cleaned up it was 4PM and I was pretty tired. So I sat down for a while after I got the fires started and the candles turned on.
I hadn’t finished the decorating. My sister used to make really nice cards and I saved them and put them up as decorations. I hadn’t got that done. I also had 2 oranges to turn into pomanders.
My son tried to help adjust the Christmas tree, but his shoulders are too wrecked to do it. I’ll have to get Tom or my #2 intern to finish the tree.
It was to get much colder Saturday night and be cloudy all day Sunday so we got the stoves really cranking. It will be toasty in here for finishing the decorating. I also hope to work on bills/budget and to look over the info I collected on printers. I hope to order one during the sales.
