On Sunday morning I woke up with no energy. I headed out in my pjs to do the cats and when I got back, I didn’t want to look at the hay pile in the driveway. So I went and got a tote and shovel and cleaned it up.
Still in my pjs I dragged the tote around the house. It was half full and seemed a shame to not fill it as I went. So I pulled the weeds from under the azalea and moved on. Next was this garden with the 4’ high grass. There were sweet peas in there, as I could see a flower or 2. But they were tangled in the grass, and I lost a lot of them pulling it out.
I didn’t do a great job as I was still in pjs, just got the worst of it out. That filled the tote so I dumped it.
As I went to do that, I noticed there were some ripe raspberries on the Anne raspberry bushes.
The latest binge watching was caused by my intern. She has spoken several times about how much she likes the Gilmore Girls. I was aware of the name but had no idea what the series was about, due to not having a TV since 1983.
So I checked out YouTube and could only find clips. So I ordered Season 1 from the library and they delivered it on Friday night. Something about the snappy comebacks and the wit and play on words is appealing to me. So I found used DVDs pretty cheap and ordered the first 3 seasons.
Not much got done all day on Sunday…
My son got this photo of the bee on the Anne raspberry when he was outside scoping out the watermelons, which are not quite ripe. He says there’s 3 of the large orange ones and several of the Sugar Babys, but none are ripe.
On Monday it’s to rain. I plan to do laundry and start the bill paying and budget early for a change…. The heat is supposed to leave so once the rain, if it comes, is done, I hope to finish the Big garden this week.
