On Sunday morning I was up at 6AM (DST) which was my normal waking time of 5AM EST. I got my post up, fed the cat early (6:30AM DST, in his mind 5:30AM EST) to start transitioning him over. Then I sat for a while and got up and got a long shower. And sat for a while.
I got the kitchen cleaned up and sat for a while and at 11AM I started back on the attic inventory. I was about half done when my brother got up. Someone started a FB page out the town we had grown up in and my brother wanted some of my photos to post on it.
So he and I sat down and went through the photos and he ended up with 23. Then I went back to the inventory and finally got it copied. But I no longer had the brain power to do a comparison to see if I had forgotten anything. Maybe Monday morning…
As I was sitting at my desk when the sun came up Sunday morning, I realized there were spots of sunlight in the office, having traveled the length of the house. It’s not centered yet, as you can see by the spot on the floor at the bottom of the photo. There’s still 11 days to go until the spring equinox.
I spent the rest of the day dozing on the couch in front of Gilmore Girls. Tom arrived with the milk order around 5PM and we visited for an hour. All his kids are currently back home either to live or visit. It’s been a couple years since he’s had this full a house. But it means he has his grandson, one of the big joys of his life.
I went to bed at 8PM DST in hopes of getting used to this change, which I hate.
On Monday it’s to be a beautiful warm day, in the 50’s in the afternoon. I have exercise class in the morning. I debated about not going, but I can’t get outside until noon when it’s warm enough anyways. I’ll have an hour to rest after, so I hope I do get out to the gardens. There’s also laundry and cleaning the kitchen and finishing up on the attic inventory.
