Happy house plants
On Wednesday I got up and got my post up and got ready to go to exercise class. I wasn’t feeling so good but made it through the class. When I got home I made something to eat and fell asleep on the couch for 3½ hours. When I wasn’t tending stoves, pulling shades, feeding a cat and myself, I was on the couch watching Doc Martin until bedtime at 8PM. I think I got a load in the dishwasher at some point, my only contribution for the day.
On Thursday I was up around 6AM and got started on the transcription. I had about 4 pages left when my #4 helper arrived at 1:30PM. I sent her on errands and had half a page left to do when she got back. We put away the shopping and she vacuumed the first floor while I finished up and then I put everything away.
We had about 2½ hours left and decided to do some more shade washing and repair. We got 6 more done in the dining room and started in the living room. She left at 5:30PM and I was exhausted.
On Friday morning I had the first PT session for the arthritis in the left knee. Not impressed with the new person, but hopefully I won’t be working with her much.
I rested until my #3 helper arrived at 12:30PM. We got started on the window shades project again while it snowed and finished all the shades on the first floor. On the 2nd floor we got the 5 small shades done. That just leaves 8 more larger ones for next time.
The masonry heater burned well but I had a hard time with the wood stove. I also discovered the snow we’d gotten had reached 2” so I went out and shoveled/swept it off the steps because it was sleeting and only going to get heavier.
I was much too tired and couldn’t get to bed until after 11PM.
On Saturday I am hoping to go to the Orchid Show with one of the women from exercise class. I have yet to do laundry and must try to get that done. I also have to catch up on my posts! It’s to snow later in the day, so I may have to sweep walks and steps.
