I had 4 more of the pullets scheduled for pickup on Tuesday morning. These were 4 Barred Rocks.
My helper friend was here and he cleaned the cold room. I had taken all the equipment out of it while I waited for the pickup person to show. Then he cleaned the equipment and put it away.
Once the hens left, I went up and finished the cleanup: washing the gallon jugs we use for making ice, putting the covers on the AC in the cold room, taking all the recycling out of the freezer stall, and putting the rest of the equipment away.
We got the pet food (heart, gizzards, necks) delivered and the livers in the freezer. Freezer Camp is done!
I was out of gas by this time, so took it easy all afternoon. My intern is here on Wednesday and it’s to be a cool day, so I’m hoping to get a lot done in the New Herb garden. I also have 3 more pullets leaving in the afternoon.
