I’m not sure what’s up with the lights, but the bubble lights, which were all lit on the old tree, had 8 lights out when I went to put them back up. And 2 sockets on one string were not working at all. But on Friday morning I finally finished the lights.
I cleaned up the mess I’d made doing them and moved on to the next part.
I got the garlands on later in the day. I wasn’t having a good day, so I didn’t push and start the ornaments. I can do them on Saturday while it snows.
The carpenter’s helper came over and he and the carpenter got the plow on the truck. There might be 5” of snow and then sleet so I wasn’t taking a chance and got ready for what might happen.
My helper friend was here on Friday. It’s been very mild, upper 50’s and 60 on Friday. He went out and pruned the Anne raspberry for the winter.
Then he harvested the best of the leaves from the Lacinato kale and got them washed and stored in the fridge.
When I was getting the photos I noticed a flash of color in the Big garden. The big quince has more flower buds on it and new leaves. As you can see the rest of the shrub is bare. Very odd…
