On Monday I got the laundry going and got all the house plants watered. Then I started working on an amendment info list I like to keep up to date on where I find the amendments and how much they cost and when I bought them. I worked on that til lunch time.
After lunch I wanted to nap because the contractor was coming at 3PM. This meant moving the cat out of the middle of the couch. The couch has been pushed up against the windowseat of the roundtop for the last 10 days or so while we are working on the floor.
Today, because I moved her, the old cat realized she could climb onto the heat mat and look out the window.
I’m getting the baleful stare because I will be in “her” spot on the couch.
But the sun came out and she decided it wasn’t such a bad spot after all.
I looked out mid morning and found this squirrel on the feeder. None of us has seen them on there until today. Later I saw one on the feeder at the other end. It took them all winter to figure it out. The feeders will be coming down in the next 2 weeks before the bears come out of hibernation.
As with most people, daylight savings has me all messed up. It’s not so bad in the mornings, but the evenings are awful. I am so not ready for bed at 8PM, as it was 7PM before and I’d start getting ready to go after 7:30. Now I’m not getting to sleep until nearly 10PM.
On Tuesday I have to wash up 7 trays for the seed starting on Wednesday. I need to finish the laundry and I may work on the amendment project. Once it warms up, I plan to go outside and start cleaning out the South Herb garden. It hasn’t been touched since 2019. I have unrealistic hopes of being out there all day, but chances are, I’ll be wiped out before 2PM. But I will get what I can done.
I can’t get out early on Wednesday as I am starting seeds in the morning. But I am hoping to go out after lunch. We’ll see…
