March 30, 2020 Six days under T5, now 2 weeks old
March 24, 2020, just come from T12
On March 24th I moved the Walla onions from the T12 lights to the T5 lights until I did a seed starting on April 1. This is the difference the different lights make for seedlings. They will get to stay under the lights for 2 more weeks until the seed starting after this one.
These are the storage onions that have always been under a T5 light. They have nice thick stems, good color, and are growing well. You can see on the end, where a tray was not quite under the light, some have fallen over. They are a month old.
The kale seedlings under T12 have perked up a little.
The mesclun pots have done well and are nearing their first harvest.
A week ago this pot had 3 sprouts about 3” high. On Monday night it had 6 sprouts, some up to 6” high.
March 24th
Last week this pot had 1 sprout to 4” and 2 very tiny ones just starting. Now it has 4 sprouts up to 8” high.
March 24th
This pot had 4 very tiny sprouts last week. These sprouts are about 9” high.

So this is what happened when I was gone since last Friday. On Tuesday I will be doing laundry and my helper friend will be here. He will help me set up for the seed starting on Wednesday.
I’ve only got 4½ trays to start, 33 herb seedlings, 21 flower seedlings and 18 veg seedlings.
