On Saturday it was a lovely day but I was too exhausted to do anything besides sleep, clean the kitchen, and watch movies.
On Sunday I was doing much better and spent most of the morning working on bills/budget. It was cloudy and very humid. My brother was going to help me with making dividers for the stones to be moved.
I went up into the loft of the barn and found lots of pieces of old plywood. Being a packrat comes in handy! We cut more than enough (I hope) for the stones. I have to go through them this week and pull nails and put some in plastic bags as they have oil from car work on them.
Hopefully next weekend my #2 intern and her brother will be moving the stones.
My friend picked me up at 2:15PM for the last concert in this series. The morning had been overcast but had cleared as the day went on and it was a nice day, but hot, in the mid 80’s.
They are a husband and wife from Bulgaria and had just flown back to the US on Saturday. They gave a wonderful concert and got a standing ovation. And we got an encore.
I heated up one of the zucchini raviolis for supper with tomatoes and cukes in vinaigrette. Early to bed for me. But I couldn’t sleep due to a toothache so I got up and went to the New Herb garden.
In Row 6 I had yellow toothache plant. I have used the leaves or the flowers several times successfully for toothache. So I picked 2 medium sized leaves, rolled them and bruised them a little and wrapped them in a piece of gauze. Then I tucked the little packet over the sore tooth. It started working immediately.
On Monday, Labor Day here in the US, I plan to try to finish the bills/budget, start laundry and clean up the kitchen. It’s to be a lovely day, in the 70’s and sunny. We have been plagued with the wildfire smoke for the last few days and I can smell it as I type. So I don’t know if I will try to work outside or not.
