These were my kale seedlings, Lacinato on left, Vates curly on right, a couple days ago. I had hoped to put a lot of seedlings out in the cold frame this week, but we are to expect below freezing temps every night. For their first days out it needs to stay in the 40’s at least. There’s phacelia at the end of each tray.
The only construction related thing my husband did Saturday was bringing in this load of trim boards from the little sawmill on the mountain.
If you look carefully, you can see the trim board inspector on the job. Dennis tends to be found where she best blends in, due to her color. When one can see Dennis one is apt to not see Lily, as she’s probably in ambush, waiting…
I hope to get some more fence line dug Sunday afternoon when it warms up. My husband hopes to work on the strapping. We’ve neither of us gotten much done during this cold and windy spell.
Monday it rains but the rest of the week is to be in the 50’s in the afternoon, but windy, so I’m not sure how much digging I will get done. Due to wind, not sure how much siding will get put on either….
