You last saw this railing with the gray toad on it a couple days back. It apparently has become a very popular place to hang out. On Saturday morning I found this grasshopper and spider there.
I did not accomplish anything at all for the whole weekend. The weather was gorgeous and I was useless. There are 2 anniversaries in the next 10 days, and it’s been hard on me, as they were the most important ones except Christmas.
My tenant got all the posts in the ground and I helped him move the wood pile yet again so he could spread the extra dirt.
I did get laundry started but not finished and kept the kitchen cleaned up. Mostly I slept.
The old cat started to fail over the weekend. She is 21½ years old (101½ in cat years) and is growing weaker. She is still eating and drinking, but is not using or missing her pee pad. She has arthritis and it bothers her when storms come through. She started limping but there’s no storm due. If it doesn’t get better, I will put her down and not let her suffer. I just keep hoping she will go peacefully in her sleep.
Monday my backup helper is coming and we are to go out to the Big garden and pick up where we left off until it gets too hot. There’s another heat wave starting. I have errands to do and if there’s still time, we’ll load the dehydrator.
