On Saturday morning I was up around 6AM and got the cat fed and my post up. My brother came down early to go to work and told me my aunt had called with bad news. My mom is in hospital in VT and the doctors have given her 3 – 6 months. They are sending her home to CT on hospice as soon as the house can be readied.
It wasn’t unexpected but it’s still a big thing to take in.
I went out at 9AM and started on the north side fences of the back 40. There were tons of branches down and much broken fence to repair. I worked until noon and just made it to the end of the trees.
I was so exhausted, I only was able to do part of my shower, enough (I hope) to get the poison ivy off.
After I sat down for 45 minutes I was able to get up, get dressed and make some lunch. Then I went to bed for a couple hours.
My son finished the pressure washing of the north side of the house.
Then he got the new east side done.
On Sunday my brother is travelling north to see my mom. I have to try to get more done on the back 40. I hope to get a good part of the south side done before I can’t. If I can, then I will have both of the worse thirds done.
I may skip exercise class on Monday to finish it. That will give the mulch guy 2 weeks to get it mowed before he has to start prepping Christmas trees for the season mid month.
