I woke on Friday morning to it raining and blowing. The snow was nearly gone and there were huge mud puddles everywhere.
I got the kitchen cleaned up and sat down to do the checkbook and credit cards. I finished them about 11AM. I am using my husband’s computer as Tom hasn’t gotten time to work on mine. This means when I order something online the info goes to my husband’s e-mail. I can’t change it, I tried.
His e-mail was an abysmal mess when he died. I’d spent several hours culling through it that first year, but soon abandoned the project. But it was getting harder and harder to find things in the e-mail site, and especially as I had to do it on his phone. So I sat down yesterday afternoon and cleaned the mess out. It went back to 2005!
Now I will be able to see e-mails easily. Not what I needed to be doing, but it was a sitting job…
It poured and the wind blew the rain sideways all afternoon. Tom arrived with the milk order in late afternoon and it was just sprinkling. It continued to rain until dark. The snow was completely gone.
I had a collection of Christmas movies arrive, so I sat down to watch some of them.
When I got up to pull the shades at 9PM, it looked odd outside. It took me a minute or two to realize it had snowed and everything was white again! It wasn’t enough snow to have to plow, but I would have to clear walkways. The temps were plummeting, to go down to 10F, and not get above 18F during the day on Saturday, Christmas Eve. We’d have a white Christmas!
On Saturday I have a ton of stuff to do to get ready for Tom’s family on Christmas Night. I am also going to mu\y window lady and her partner’s for Christmas Eve. He’s the one with 2 Christmas trees and all the wonderful decorations. He’s got a wonderful meal planned and we will have a good time.
