Thursday morning was another early start. Post up, kitchen cleaned up, chores done by 8AM. My general helper arrived and after admiring the finished tree in the dining room, we set to work in the office.
We got 5 bags emptied and sorted, just the one in front of the recliner had some left. I planned to finish it before my appointment but I got side tracked.
I mentioned a couple days ago that I’d ordered antique glass bead garlands and they weren’t due until Monday. They showed up just after lunch! They were old and there were some broken beads. I spent the time removing them.
This means once we finish the mess in the office on Friday, we can put the new garlands on and then start on the ornaments. She had wanted to decorate with me, and now she can.
I hope to get some of the decorations up on Friday morning before she and my helper friend show up at 8AM. I also want to get the kissing ball and wreath repaired and hung up outside.
If we don’t finish, perhaps I can get finished on Saturday morning. Then I can move onto designing and making Christmas cards and work on the shopping.
Don’t worry, I spend plenty of time resting and watching Christmas movies… I really like to enjoy the season, just I am still moving pretty slow from the long covid.
