Sometimes it seems like a dream that our heavenly father provided a mountain and 56 acres for us. From time to time, I like to take a walk around our mountain to take in the beauty that each season provides.
The tallest “named” mountain in Arkansas is Mt. Magazine at a height of 2,753 feet. If our mountain was a registered name mountain it would be the 10th highest at an elevation of 2,223 feet. Its not the Rocky Mountains or the Appalachian Mountains, but it is our mountain—bought and paid for.
It is now late fall, the leaves have fallen off the trees, and winter is just a few weeks away. My walk starts on the south side walking west and ending on the east side walking south toward our home. The trail is about a half a mile walk.
Once winter arrives I will show our mountain covered with snow and the beauty of winter.
Cheers, Tim and Joann
