Everything in the greenhouse is doing absolutely fantastic! I missed watering for a few days and the cabbages got sad, but they perked right back up when I got them a long drink. Let's go on a tour of my little greenhouse and see what's grown!
Cucumbers are starting to wind up their supports.
Tiny cucumber #1
Tiny cucumber #2
The chives, which are sharing space with the cucumbers, are coming along nicely.
A Horizon Bell Pepper plant and a Rutger's Tomato sharing space with some tiny Persienne Carrots
A row of Persienne Carrots that I should have thinned
Malaysian Eggplants with Tom Thumb lettuce that really needs to be used before it bolts or becomes bitter.
Chinese 5-color Peppers with Little Gem lettuce that also really needs to be used! I don't know why we haven't been salading this spring...has it already gotten too hot even for salad?!
Pepper blossoms
Lastly, the Chinese Hilton Cabbage is almost ready for harvest already!
My mother-in-law wants to teach my girls and I how to make kimchi! I don't eat it, but I'll happily learn how to make it for my husband and one of my daughters who loves it. So far the plant I'm most excited about is the one I won't be eating!
There isn't much to do in the greenhouse now that the plants are doing their thing. With the exception of the cabbage, there is nothing to harvest and won't be for a while. I just check daily for watering, very little weeding, and a pest check. So far so good! Nothing has been munched on and I have yet to have to apply any kind of chemicals or other means of destroying said pests.
Thanks for stopping by!
