There are things I enjoy about each season, but spring is special. After a long cold winter, spring is when things come back to life. The daylight hours are long and the evenings are cool. I'd like to bottle up a handful of spring evenings to savor when the summer days are hot, fall is rainy or winter is dark. Instead I took some photos this evening of the everyday things I love so much.

The children spend so much time in the sandbox

They love collecting treasures at the coast. I tell them to take their shells to the sandbox. They have quite the collection! Some of the shells come from as far away as the coast of Spain.

Lucky, a Golden Sexlink.

I don't like when they roost in the nest boxes, but they sure seem to find it ideal.

My hours of work the last few weeks are about to pay off. Lettuce and radishes are nearly ready, and the strawberries are getting pink.

These hot pink geraniums had exotic names, but I'm basic so I just say pink.
