AN EXHAUSTING MONTH
It's been a long and loborous month at the homestead as I attempt to have the cabin livable before the cold temps really set in.
I apologise for the gap in my posts, but I've really not had much extra time. I hope you forgive me.😁
So last time we met I was in the middle of building my roof and that has been completed successfully, so now I can work even when it rains!!!
THE FLOORS
So I have since moved on to other pets that needed built. I began with the floors.
The top half of the picture above shows the floor joists before insulation was installs and the bottom shows some installed.
- This is the helper of the month, my son, Evan. He has done a great job assisting me!!! I'm very proud of him!!!🥰🥰
*Sorry for the poor picture, it was late when i finished that day and I forgot to take more pictures later.🤦😁
After the insulation was installed I cover the floor with plywood and for now it will stay that way. I will work on finishing it once the cabin is livable and we are moved in.
THE WALLS ARE GOING UP NOW
My current cabin project is building the walls so they can then be insulated and the cabin can be heated. This is one of the last stages before operation "abandon the sheep ship."😁😁
I will be building the left side of the cabin as seen in the picture above. Then once they are complete I will work on the right side.
FITTING MY WINDOWS
Since i started building this cabin I've wondered EXACTLY what my view would be after I put my windows in...and today, I got to see pretty closely what it will be, and....I LOVE IT!!!!
*I know...two terrible pictures in one post.😂🤣 What can I say?
