It was the largest wasp nest ever found on the homestead. It just grew and grew and finally we had to take action. So we drew up our battle plans and launched our assault. It took multiple days of chemical strikes and in the end, the enemy was dead with few allied casualties.
Can you smell that? It smells like....Raid Spray. :)
Now the clean up process will be something for sure. They left behind a lot of dead bodies, larva, and insect poop that will have to be scrubbed from the walls. Not to mention the chemical clean up from the spray that I really don't want to come into contact with our food in the dehydrator.
We have wasp nests that every year have to be dealt with. They are a great predator to keep around especially in the garden. They will eat different worms and harmful insects that damage plants. But this nest just got too big and it was in a location that just could not be justified.
