The Red River Gorge draws over a million people a year to explore its towering cliffs, water falls, and sandstone arches. What few of these visitors are aware of is the expansive bottoms and rolling hills that nurtured farming communities above the fall line. The source waters of the Red River are located in Wolfe County Kentucky, and the remnants of the county's agricultural past are still present. Come along with me on this misty fall day and catch a glimpse of yesterday.
