Good evening everyone! After a lazy day yesterday, today was quite busy and productive. I am happy that I got to finish the task I gave myself as tomorrow is Sunday so that means a day off. I think I will dedicate tomorrow to organizing, decluttering and backing up my laptop. But before that, let me share some photos from today.
Carrots
Look at these massive carrots! There is one very small area where we had these so we pulled them out as we are preparing the land for planting that will happen soon. I was so surprised to see these big carrots and had to take some photos to share. :)
Here is a glove as a reference
You never know what you're going to find under the surface lol
Strawberry Clean Up
This was my main task today. Strawberries really needed some good clean. They always stay at the same spot, under this black cover so we don't need to plant them again or re-plant them every year. They just need some help getting free from grass and dried up leaves. I cannot wait to pick some fresh, sweet strawberries! Hopefully, there will be many as I have spent hours today doing my best to clean it up.
Here's a before photo
A closer look at the before state, it's quite messy as you can tell
And this is what it looks like after
I definitely underestimated the amount of time I needed to finish this task so I have to show off a little bit more lol

Companions
I could finally catch all four of the cats at the same place, same time
If you have seen my posts these past few days, you have already seen this cat - here she is again, sleeping as usual
Some eggs to collect
Soon to bloom
Garden work can be hard, tiring, time consuming and it takes a lot of dedication and consistency but I also find it calming and therapeutic. Focusing on the work in silence and in the fresh air, seeing the progress you've made, watching the fruits and veggies grow every day and finally picking them, enjoying the fresh, healthy products of your work is a real blessing.
Thank you for checking out this post and I wish you all a lovely weekend! I hope you can find a good way to distract yourself during these times. Stay SAFU! :D
