Already deep into his phone, he didn’t look back as the limo service car pulled away.
Ok… That’s a little over-the-top dramatic. He was just heading out to his company’s hub in Paris and he was only going to be gone a week. I really don’t mind. I use the time on other projects that I’ve got going. This time I was doing a little autumn gardening and of course I was going to steem.
Wednesday I stayed home and I worked on steeming all morning. I was trying diligently to find out where that upvote went that was supposed to have made to
post the night before when suddenly insideous evil took over my screen!
Hmmm… this has happened once before when the router slowly went bad.
Proof of signal strength!
I grabbed my phone and checked the wifi signal strength. I had all 5 bars lit up. That seems good!?
Well… I have a lot of tabs up on steemit. Maybe it’s tired from the effort?
I rebooted my computer. It’s supposed to automatically connect on boot-up but no dice! I decided to check my other devices. No joy on either my phone or ipad browsers and even Alexa's acting stupid!
Hmph I can’t even call up the address up of the computer that is hard-wired to the router. That one works fine!
I turned the router off then on again…
I haven’t figured this out yet but I have noticed that this kind of problem only happens when Doug is a far away.
I can’t wait for him to get home. Having the WiFi go down is extremely inconvenient but not quite as inconvenient as the water heater that went out 2 days before he left. When he gets home he is going to help me replace it (or I’ll help him).
Update:
He just arrived home. Who would have guessed that we have 3 routers all chained together and all 3 had to have their power cycled?
One of them predates the Italian renaissance.
