This is my Mum she is now 77 years old. She grew up on a farm and although she came to live in the city, she has stayed a farm girl. She lives in Kimberley, South Africa all on her own and since we were kids she almost never bought vegetables from a shop. She plant her own vegetables . My brother use to say."If she will plant a stick it will also grow"

She has a very old phone so the quality of the pictures are not very good.
This is one of her cucumbers with a length of 27cm.
This was a pumpkin that she was very proud of it weighs 4.55 kg.
She loves tomatoes if there is some in the garden she walks with the salt pot and pick it and eat it as fresh as it comes.
Before she goes to pick the corn she first put the pot of water on the stove. So when she comes back with the corn the water is boiling and she cooks it only 15 minutes. She believes you eat it immediately without butter.
Some of these beans are more then 30 cm.
