Good evening, Steemians!
I was just outside, taking a look at the guavas and our pink guava tree. They have ballooned in size this past month, and gone from a dark green to a lighter green color.

The two biggest ones, when I squeeze them, are starting to get soft. For pink guavas, the best way to tell that they're ripe is when they start to smell fragrant.

So, I stuck my nose up to the bottom of one of the guavas, and ever so slightly smelled a hint of guava. Even though they start getting soft, I'm not going to pick them just yet. I'm going to wait until their smell starts to get more pungent.

The bad thing is that they can go from this stage to having fruit flies and overripe in a short amount of time, so many people will pick them a day or so before they're going to eat them, and then let them ripen up inside for a day or two.

Anyway, I can't wait to harvest these guavas, as it will be my first guava harvest ever! I think it could be as soon as Saturday or Sunday, so be on the lookout for a post.

Thank you very much for stopping by, Steemians!
